Getting Through Airport Security with Kids

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Now that the holiday season is approaching, many families will be taking to the “not so friendly” skies to visit family and friends.  With all the new airport security rules, it pays to do some research before you get to the airport.  Here are some tips for getting through airport security with kids:

  • Check the TSA website for the latest regulations about carry ons, especially regarding rules related to formula and kid’s food.
  • When you get to the airport and passing through security, let TSA security know that you’re carrying formula and other liquids for children.
  • Feeding children right before flying will decrease the amount of food you need to bring onboard.  This is a must for long flights where the carry on liquids are limited.
