Baby Carseat Safety

file00047256199

Making sure you use your baby’s car seat correctly is one of the most important safety measures you can do as a parent.  The Parents Magazine website has created a safety guide for car seats.  Here are a few of the most common mistakes to avoid:

  • A car seat should not be placed in the front seat of the car.  The safest place is in the rear of the back seat.
  • Make sure the straps are buckled tightly and that the seat doesn’t move around too much.
  • Also make sure that the harness on your child is not too loose.
  • The car seat should be installed facing to the rear until you baby weights 30 to 35 lbs.
  • You can see the entire guide at the Parents Magazine.
