Making sure you use your baby’s car seat correctly is one of the most important safety measures you can do as a parent. The Parents Magazine website has created a safety guide for car seats. Here are a few of the most common mistakes to avoid:
A car seat should not be placed in the front seat of the car. The safest place is in the rear of the back seat.
Make sure the straps are buckled tightly and that the seat doesn’t move around too much.
Also make sure that the harness on your child is not too loose.
The car seat should be installed facing to the rear until you baby weights 30 to 35 lbs.
